Poetry can make you feel uncomfortable. Why? That’s the uncomfortable question.

Saaed Jones gave this powerful and provocative reading of his poem, Boy In Whalebone Corset, at the 2014 Dodge Poetry Festival.

The biennial festival runs through Sunday, Oct. 26, in Newark’s Downtown Arts District. It’s hosted by the Morristown-based Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation.

Jones, who earned a master’s degree in fine arts from Rutgers-Newark, won the 2013 Pushcart Prize.
