In baseball, they say a fleet-footed outfielder “camps under” a fly ball.
But at Ginty Field last weekend, the fleetest of fly-chasers would have found themselves dodging numerous campers before camping under any pop-ups.
More precisely, 75 campers, from 22 families who participated in Saturday’s third annual Family Camp-Out Night.
“What was nice was that they were mostly new campers – many camping overnight beyond their backyard for the first time,” said Bill Foelsch, director of parks and recreation for Morris Township.
The evening also included a free outdoor screening of Despicable Me 2. There were no cameos by any pesky bears. But some campers think they spied a fox taking inventory.
