A judge set bail at $75,000 this week for a Morristown man accused of kicking and punching a pregnant woman over the weekend, reports The Star-Ledger.
The woman sustained bruises to her back and shoulder and a cut lip after Rodney Harris, 32, allegedly kicked her in the stomach and punched her head while sitting on her chest, according to the newspaper.
The suspect told Superior Court Judge Mary Gibbons Whipple that he had been unaware that the woman was pregnant. The judge continued a restraining order against him, the report said.
