The Cauldwell playground was a colorful place on Saturday, as the 12th annual Community Family Day filled the park with a diverse mix of music, food and children’s activities.
“The message today is bringing the entire community together, people of different cultures coming together for food, fun and fellowship,” said Linda Murphy, director of community development for the Morristown Neighborhood House, co-hosts of the event with the Nabe’s parent organization, Cornerstone Family Programs.
Universal Rebel and the Sophisticated Steppers led an entertainment roster that ranged from hip hop to Indian dance. Kids enjoyed inflatable amusements, face-painting, arts and crafts and contests, while social service agencies staffed booths with information about local resources.
Sponsors included Aramark, New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance, New Jersey Natural Gas and the Affinity Federal Credit Union.
