A pesky critter took down a power line on Sunday morning, knocking out electricity for 1,300 customers in the vicinity of Mt. Kemble Avenue in Morristown, a spokesman for the power company said.
The outage occurred at 6:45 am, said Jim Markey of Jersey Central Power & Light. As of 10 am on Aug. 10, 2014, power had been restored to a thousand customers. The remainder were expected to come back online by noon, Jim said.
He did not have the location of the “animal contact,” or the identity of the offending species.
