In a statement issued Thursday morning, the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office and Denville police said bodies of a man and woman were found in an Arden Road home.

Authorities did not disclose  identities of the deceased or details about their deaths. They said the community did not appear to be in any danger.

The newspaper cited two unnamed sources, and public records showing that Bramhall and her husband John lived at the Arden Road cordoned off by authorities.

Speaking on condition of anonymity, a source with knowledge of law  enforcement matters told Morristown Green that the case is being investigated as a murder-suicide.

Bramhall, a mother of three and a grandmother, served as county clerk from 1999 until last year.

She was a former freeholder, a former county GOP chairwoman, and a former aide to the late Rep. Dean Gallo.
