No, that wasn’t the Marshall Tucker Band that ambled into SmartWorld Coffee on Friday night.
But it was the next best thing: Citizens Band Radio, Marshall’s opening act at the Mayo Performing Arts Center.
The CB’ers are from out west — western Jersey. Specifically, Califon. They must be pretty good. They’ve also opened for Loretta Lynn.
For the record, singer/ mando player Linda King is a fan of SmartWorld’s chocolate chip cookies. At least, she liked the one bite that her bandmates generously left for her.
