Dr. Louis Brusco Jr., MD, chief medical officer at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York, will assume that title at Morristown Medical Center on Aug. 1, 2014.
He will work with President David Shulkin, MD, “to create synergies between medical staff, create quality programs and achieve clinical program growth and development,” according to a statement from Morristown Medical Center.

Louis Brusco, Jr., MD, will join Morristown Medical Center as Chief Medical Officer effective Friday, Aug. 1, 2014.
Dr. Brusco will play a pivotal role within the hospital’s senior leadership team and will take the lead on many critical clinical initiatives. Dr. Brusco will work closely with David Shulkin, MD, president, Morristown Medical Center, to create synergies between medical staff, create quality programs and achieve clinical program growth and development.
Dr. Brusco currently serves as Chief Medical Officer and Senior Vice President of St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York. He received his medical degree from Columbia University and is board certified in Internal Medicine, Anesthesiology, including a Certificate of Special Qualification in Critical Care Medicine.
