Morristown has become a hot meeting place. So why not take advantage of the summer sun to turn things up a notch?

Meet Me in Morristown debuts today, June 26, 2014, with sidewalk sales at more than 30 storefronts from the Morristown United Methodist Church on the Green down South Street to Elm, starting at 11:30 am. That’s followed by outdoor art and music at 6 pm.

At 9 pm, Morristown singer-songwriter Diana Van Der Jagt will premiere her first music video –produced by local filmmaker (and MorristownGreen.com Film Fest prizewinner) Christian Schuller, at Hops, inside the Famished Frog on Washington Street.

If all goes well, Meet Me in Morristown will return on the last Thursday of every summer month through September.

Artists and musicians can sell their merch, and tip jars will be provided, too.

“This is a great opportunity for them to showcase their work,” said Kadie Dempsey of Morris Arts, which is co-sponsoring the event with the Morristown Partnership.
