Alexander Scott joins College of Saint Elizabeth as V.P.

Alexander Scott of Teaneck will join the College of Saint Elizabeth on June 16, 2014, as the Vice President of Enrollment Management.

Scott has a 20-plus year career dedicated to higher education, having played a key role in admissions and enrollment management at four major colleges and universities.

Most recently, he served as Dean of Enrollment at Long Island University, Brookville, N.Y. As the dean, he assisted in raising applications, admits and enrollment in key markets, oversaw a reorganization of the admissions department, and chaired several inter-campus retention and financial aid committees.

“We welcome Alexander Scott to our leadership team,” said President Helen J. Streubert. “His background and credentials are impressive, and will serve this institution well as we plan for the future.”

In 2005, Scott was hired as Director of Admission at Felician College, Lodi, N.J., and was subsequently promoted to Associate Vice President.

At Rutgers University, New Brunswick, N.J., he worked as a Senior Admissions Officer from 2004 to 2005. During his 12 years with Fairfield University, Fairfield, Conn., Scott served in a variety of roles in the admissions department, advancing to become Senior Associate Director of Admission from 2001 to 2004.

He holds a B.S. in Psychology from The College of William and Mary, Williamsburg, Va., and an M.A. in Industrial/Organizational/Personnel Psychology from Fairfield University.

Scott is a member of the National Association of College Admission Counseling (NACAC), the New Jersey Association of College Admission Counseling (NJACAC), and the New England Association of College Admission Counseling (NEACAC).

Sponsored by the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth, Convent Station, New Jersey, the College of Saint Elizabeth enrolls more than 1,500 full- and part-time students in more than 25 undergraduate, 10 graduate and two doctoral degree programs; an Ed.D.in educational leadership and a Psy.D. in counseling psychology.
