Singer Christine DeLeon, Yankees organist Ed Alstrom and the Metropolitan Sax Quintet are among the headliners scheduled for RedeemerFest, a series of free concerts and events at Morristown’s Episcopal Church of the Redeemer from June 6-15, 2014.
“It showcases our ‘big tent’ approach to church in, of all things, a big tent!” Rector Cynthia Black said in a statement.
The festivities start on June 6 with Afro-Caribbean music by Legacy Women. The series also will feature a pet adoption day, a spiritual health meditation, a demonstration by The Seeing Eye, and a screening of Jared Flesher’s film Sourlands.
“The Redeemer family boasts a vast wealth of interests, abilities and talents,” the Rector said.
“RedeemerFest is an opportunity to freely share this wealth with our friends and neighbors in the Morristown area, and to bring Redeemer’s message of full inclusion and all-embracing spirit to the community at large. There’s food, there’s fun and literally ‘something for everyone’ – for children, for adults, and for families of all types.”
The church is at 36 South St. Below is the schedule; check here for updates.
