Their lives ended far too soon. But memories of Lauren and Emily Failla, and the causes they cherished, will be celebrated on May 12, 2014, with Broadway at the Bickford.

Stars from on- and off-Broadway shows will perform hits from Wicked to Rent at the Bickford Theatre in Morris Township, to benefit the Laura & Emily Failla Foundation, which supports neo-natal medical care, arts programs and scholarships at the sisters’ alma mater, Morristown High School.

Lauren (MHS Class of 2003) and Emily (2000), members of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Morristown, died in accidents a few years apart; both were in their mid-20s.

Singer Blaire Reinhard Perrin (Class of 1999) will host the evening and MTV’s Derek Vintschger (Class of 1999) will lend his production skills.

“Emily and Lauren always had a way of turning a normal day into something special and exciting, so I just love that this event will be held on a Monday. What a wonderful way to turn an otherwise ordinary night into something extraordinary!” Blaire said in a statement.

General admission is $40, via the Foundation website or from the organization’s trustees (below). VIP tickets are $80/each or $150/couple, and include a seated dinner by The Flying Meatballs. A cocktail hour, dessert, coffee and a silent auction–with items ranging from an iPad Air to hot air balloon rides–will round out the evening.
