The Morristown Parking Authority and Headquarters Plaza again are offering free garage parking to town residents, so snowplows will have easier access to clear the streets, Mayor Tim Dougherty’s office announced Friday.
The free period extends from Sunday, March 2, 2014, at 6 pm through 9 am on Tuesday, March 4.
Residents may be required to produce their drivers licenses to prove residency.
At this week’s council meeting the Mayor said he’s received reports about out-of-town motorists attempting to obtain free garage parking.
He said the garages welcome everyone–but nonresidents will be charged parking fees.
