The Seattle Seahawks will be fielding congratulations for some time after trouncing the Denver Broncos, 43-8, in Super Bowl 48.
Dan Quinn’s boyhood hometown, Morris Township, wasted no time sending its kudos to the defensive coordinator after his Legion of Boom intercepted a pair of Peyton Manning passes and forced a fumble en route to Sunday’s rout.
“On behalf of Morris Township, the hometown of Super Bowl Champion Defensive Co-ordinator Dan Quinn, I, and the entire Morris Township Committee congratulate him and the Seattle Seahawks on winning Super Bowl 48 here in New Jersey,” Mayor Bruce Sisler said in a statement moments after the game.
” We are so proud of Dan’s success, this great accomplishment and to call Dan Quinn Morris Township’s own son.”
Dan played for the Morristown High School Colonials in the early 1990s.
