The Morristown & Township Library, closed since last Wednesday by water damage from a broken fire sprinkler head pipe, is closed again today, Jan. 13, 2014.
Library Director Maria Norton said good progress was made over the weekend with the cleanup. Now the question is what electrical repairs must be made, she said.
Water had cascaded from a second floor closet all the way to the basement in the 2006 wing.
Carpets are drying nicely, Maria said, and ceiling tiles are being replaced. Library staff members are working inside, answering reference questions over the phone, processing book hold requests, emptying the book drop, and so forth, the director said.
