The Polar Vortex is gone… and so is the Morristown & Township Library, for the weekend

The Morristown & Township Library is a venerable battleship… she keeps taking hits, but refuses to sink.

A burst sprinkler head shut her down Wednesday, and that’s how she will stay all weekend.

The library took on a lot of water–we’re pushing the Naval analogy, yet it’s true.

But devastating explosions in 1994 and 2010 have taught the staff to always look on the bright side of life.

And so the library website invites patrons to enjoy a digital weekend of eBooks, audiobooks, digital photos and online renewals.

Since bad things come in threes, let’s hope this latest calamity completes the set and brings smooth sailing for the rest of the century.
