Clarinets a la Mode for lunch, Jan. 9 in Morristown

Music At Noon, the concert series sponsored by Music At Morristown United Methodist Church, continues its 34th season with a concert on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, featuring Clarinets-á-la-Mode, comprised of John Centenaro, Dimitry Chermavsky, Joe Elliot and Carlyn Smith.

The 30-minute concert begins at 12:15 pm., in the church sanctuary at 50 Park Place, on the Green.  A light luncheon will be available for purchase before or after the concert (11:30 am to 1:30 pm).

The luncheon costs $7 for adults and $6 for seniors and students.  There is a suggested donation of $6 adults/$5 seniors for the concerts.  Students are admitted free to all concerts.  Free childcare is available during the concert.  The sanctuary is handicapped accessible.

Clarinets à la Mode is an eclectic clarinet quartet founded in 2010 by Hanover Wind Symphony members John Centenaro, Dimitry Chernavsky, Joe Elliott and Carlyn Smith.

They have a wide-ranging repertoire ranging from music by Mozart, Beethoven and many other classical masters to classic jazz and pop tunes by George Gershwin, Cole Porter, The Beatles, Scott Joplin, even the theme song to “Green Acres”!
