If you have the urge to do some globe-trotting but are short on time and cash, First Night Morris County 2014 has a deal for you.
A $25 badge is your passport to adventure on New Year’s Eve.
“You really can travel the world without leaving Morristown,” says Dr. Lynn Siebert of Morris Arts in this video preview, produced by the County College of Morris.
Music, dance, puppets… you name it, it’s here, from all corners of the globe:
France, Russia, China, Spain, Mexico, Bali, the Caribbean, Colombia, Norway, the Middle East, Israel, Macedonia, India, Brazil, Eastern Europe… we wouldn’t be surprised if Antarctica is represented somehow.
“This is a chance to see and hear things you otherwise wouldn’t see,” Lynn says in her conversation with Denise Schmidt of First Night.
Badges can be purchased at the Mayo Performing Arts Center at 100 South St., or via the First Night Morris website.
The website also is where you can peruse all the world culture acts— and the entire roster, which includes more than 200 artists who will give some 80 performances at 24 venues.
