The Shockenaw Mountain Boys, a subset of the popular Railroad Earth jam band, headline at The Minstrel in Morris Township on Dec. 27, 2013.
The lineup is Tim Carbone on fiddle, Andy Goessling on guitar and banjo, John Skehan on mandolin, and Johnny Grubb (of Emmitt & Nershi) on bass. They will mix Irish songs and folk standards with original numbers.
Opening the evening is Juilliard-trained violinist Diane Perry.
NJ Public TV will be on hand to shoot a segment for the NJ State of the Arts program.
The Minstrel is at the Morristown Unitarian Fellowship, at 21 Normandy Heights Road. Admission is $8; ages 12 and under are free.
