Morristown residents can park for free inside garages operated by the Morristown Parking Authority from noon today, Dec. 17, through 8 am on Dec. 18, 2013, announced Mayor Tim Dougherty.

The purpose is to allow snow plows easy access to clean the streets.

Parking fees will be waived when residents show their drivers licenses as proof of residency, according to the Mayor’s office.

MPA parking garages are at DeHart Street, Cattano Avenue, Ann / Bank streets and beneath the Vail Mansion on South Street.

It’s looking like this Alberta Clipper may blow through quickly, however. News 12 has updated earlier predictions of two- to four inches of snow, and as of Tuesday morning is calling for only one- to two inches.
