Images, and thanks, from the ‘Our Youth Their Future’ holiday extravaganza in Morristown

Editor’s note: Snowstorms cancel lots of things–but they never stop Santa!  The big guy arrived on schedule for Saturday’s Our Youth Their Future Christmas party in Morristown. Councilwoman Toshiba Foster, co-founder of the organization, wanted to thank everyone who made lots of kids happy over the weekend.

We are especially thankful to The Marine Toys for Tots program for donating toys for our event.  It is through their generosity that we were able to give toys to children and spread holiday cheer.

We are extremely grateful for the Morristown Ambulance Squad, which sponsored Santa Claus. (Dominick Sandelli did a fabulous job as Santa.)
We’d also like to thank Santa’s Elves for making his arrival a safe one, especially during the inclement weather.  The kids were extremely excited when Santa arrived.
There are many other “sponsors” we’d like to thank for their support as well:
  • Gold, Albanese and Barletti, attorneys at law, for their generous donation
  • Anthony’s Pizza & Pasta, Morristown Pizzeria, and Nonna’s Pizzeria, for donating pizza pies
  • American Legion Post 312 (Joe Thorpe) for donating a popcorn machine
  • Berit Ollestad for donating a homemade pan of baked ziti
  • Councilman Stefan Armington and his wife Margarita Armington for donating gingerbread houses, which the kids enjoyed decorating
  • Peter Jorge, Michael Strickland and Donald Underhill for providing music entertainment
  • Vera White for getting our  Christmas tree donated
  • The Morristown Housing Authority for allowing us to host this great event at the Marion Sally Residence Center
  • Mayor Tim Dougherty and First Lady Mary Dougherty for joining us
And last but certainly not least, I’d like to thank Our Youth Their Future members and all the volunteers, because without them, this event would not have been possible.
