If you enjoy a good holiday sing-along, then you will want to shovel out of your driveway on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013, and make your way to the Bickford Theatre in Morris Township.
The Morris Choral Society performs its 10th annual holiday show at 3 pm.
We caught Friday’s performance, and tried to hold up our end in the audience participation category.
The program was a pleasant mix of holiday-themed show tunes, some traditional Yule fare, and some deliciously nontraditional numbers… including one that would have been the perfect soundtrack for a Tim Burton Christmas special. (Hint: It suggests the New Year’s fate of all those creatures from The Twelve Days of Christmas.)
The Bickford is part of the Morris Museum, at 6 Normandy Place. Tickets are available at the box office (973-971-3706) at $25 for adults, $20 for seniors and $15 for children under 18. For more information, call 973-998-7239. Given the weather forecast, it’s smart to phone ahead.
Wayne Walters, director of the Morris Choral Society, also will perform on Thursday, Dec. 19, with The Christmas Singers in the Music at Noon series at the Morristown United Methodist Church.
