Latinos in health care were honored for their civic contributions at a festive dinner earlier this month at the Morristown Neighborhood House.
It was the Nabe’s nine annual Hispanic Heritage Month celebration.
Honorees included Dr. Frank Centanni of Morristown Medical Center, nurse Karen A. Feldman of the Zufall Health Center, Christian Rodriguez from the General Consulate of Colombia, nurse Susan Wood of the Family Health Center of Morristown and scholar Stephanie Castano-Restrepo.
Abraham Lopez, executive director of the New Jersey Center for Hispanic Policy, Research and Development addressed the gathering. The keynote was delivered by Patrice Picard, CEO of Cornerstone Family Programs, the new parent organization of the Neighborhood House.
Morristown Mayor Tim Dougherty and Councilwoman Rebecca Feldman also were on hand.
