Cash and other items were stolen from eight unlocked vehicles in a Morris Township neighborhood overnight Sunday into Monday, according to police.
The thefts occurred on Springbrook Road, Exeter Lane, Strawberry Lane, Footes Lane and Armstrong Road.
No suspicious activity was reported at the time.
Township Police Chief John McGuinness has reminded residents to lock their car doors and park vehicles in their driveways, or near their homes, in well-lit areas beneath sensor lights.
Morristown residents, meanwhile, reported that GPS units were stolen that same night from unlocked cars on nearby Erskine Drive and Maxwell Court. They said it was the third such incident this year.
