It was an impressive sight: Some 200 volunteers from three organizations joined forces on Saturday to erect a playground at the Morristown Neighborhood House.
The basic design was inspired by drawings by preschoolers at the Nabe, which has been serving immigrants and working families since 1898.
Volunteers from MetLife and KaBOOM!–a national nonprofit that builds playgrounds–teamed with people from the Nabe.
Six hours later, the ribbon was cut for a gleaming new play area with giant plastic slides, wind chimes, flower beds and murals.
Here are some photos. Stay tuned for more!

Congrats Nabe…..it is just what the children need. The volunteers were about completion of a job and they did it. MetLife is the best!

Viewing my friends and neighbors and elected officials working together on projects like this one, makes me proud to be a resident of Morristown.
