The annual film night, organized by Bike and Walk Morristown, marked the first one since the town purchased the garden property, ensuring the garden’s continued existence.

Samantha Rothman, co-founder of GiG, said the public will be invited to a series of “charrettes” –planning discussions–in November to come up ideas for a park at the garden.
“This has been a very special year for us. We didn’t know what was going to happen. We thought what was happening across the street was going to happen here,” Samantha said, referring to construction of an apartment complex that is part of the massive Speedwell Avenue redevelopment project.
