Video: ‘My Beautiful Town’ sung in Morristown to honor Newtown victims

0

On Saturday, residents of Newtown, CT., urged Morristown to make the “Sandy Hook Promise,” to honor victims of December’s elementary school massacre by pressing for common-sense laws and policies to prevent future gun violence.

My Beautiful Town was among the touching moments of the presentation at the Presbyterian Parish House.

Written by a Newtown resident, the song was performed by Morristown High School girls (including a recent winner of Morristown’s Got Talent!)  and conducted by Nancy Bangiola, an accomplished singer with the Harmonium Choral Society and a member of the Morris Area Committee to Reduce Gun Violence.

The girls learned the song quickly.  See the video above. And stay tuned for more coverage.
