The holidays were in evidence around the Morristown Green over the weekend, as these photos suggest.

Events captured by our cameras include….

  • A holiday organ concert by Eric Plutz at the Morristown United Methodist Church. (Don’t miss the Christmas Singers this Thursday, Dec. 20, performing at the church at noon.)
  • Ben Rhodes kicking off the Battle of the Bands competition for First Night Morris 2013. (The competition resumes at the Morristown Deli on Friday, Dec. 21, with Eli at 4:45 pm, the Angry Politicians at 5:45 pm and Rachael Clinton & Becca Johnson at 6:35 pm.)
  • Art Around the Park, featuring the stunning freshmen mural known at the Sol LeWitt Project.
  • A reading of Dickens’ beloved A Christmas Carol at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church.
  • Festivities at the Christmas Festival at the Morristown Green.
  • A tribute to the classic movie A Christmas Story at the For Hair and Body Salon, where owner Richard Fiorito believes that hair care should be fun.
  • Auditions for Morristown’s Got Talent 2013. And…
  • A holiday concert by The Thirteen choir, which culminated in a delightful post-concert carol sing with the audience at the Presbyterian Church in Morristown.
