Bring your recyclables to the Morristown Woman’s Club, Nov. 17

Do you have some odds and ends around the house that were destined for the trash?

Bring them to the Woman’s Club of Morristown on Saturday, Nov. 17, between 9 am and 3 pm. The club is celebrating “America Recycles Day” by collecting assorted items that it will re-distribute or re-sell for worthy causes.

For example, your gently used sheets and towels will be forwarded to area animal shelters, said Woman’s Club spokeswoman Amy Hyland.

Boxtop- and Campbell’s soup labels will be cashed in to support the Morris School District.

Pop-tops from your soda and beer cans will be cashed in at a recycling center, with proceeds benefiting the Ronald McDonald House.

Suitcases will be given to patients returning home from Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital.

Manufacturers coupons from your Sunday newspapers will be sent to military bases, where they are honored for six months beyond their expiration dates.

Arts and crafts supplies will be given to the Morristown Neighborhood House. Yarns and fabrics will be used by residents at the Eric Johnson halfway house in Morristown.

The Woman’s Club also will be collecting ink cartridges, eyeglasses, new- and used greeting cards and gently used clothing of all sizes.

The club is at 51 South St.
