Just a “tropical storm” is expected on Sunday night according to a bulletin released by the Town of Morristown. That’s good if your insurance policy has a high hurricane deductible, but still not happy news. The town is asking residents to prepare for
(1) Heavy Winds
(2) Extremely Heavy Rainfall
(3) Major Flooding along streams and rivers. (Note: check flood policy)
Residents are encouraged to be self-sustained for 72 hours. Meaning: have enough water, food, toiletries and batteries for 3 days. If a power outage occurs, a town hall information center will remain open 24/7 at 200 South Street, 1st floor lobby.
