Summertime in Morristown means only one thing.

Meetings.

Lots of them.

Tonight, July 17, it’s the town council at 7:30 pm.

On Wednesday, July 18, the council meets at 6:30 pm to continue a liquor license hearing  for a bowling alley/ bar proposed for 10 DeHart Street.  Two flights up in town hall, the zoning board gathers at 7:30 pm to hear a redeveloper’s objections to a proposed sports bar at 4 Early St.

On Thursday, July 19, the council is at it again, meeting at 7 pm for an update of redevelopment plans for Morris Street.

It’s hard to believe that anyone would want to be anywhere else in the middle of July. But if so, there ARE some options.

Like a free concert tonight, July 17,  in Morris Township, where the Silver Starlight Orchestra will perform swing favorites at 7 pm at Ginty Field.
