The Rev. Katherine Hancock Ragsdale will speak at the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer in Morristown on Sunday, the 39th anniversary of the landmark Supreme Court abortion decision Roe v. Wade. Ragsdale, former president of the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice, is president and dean of Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge, Mass.
Dr. Ragsdale will speak at the adult forum at 9 a.m., and preach at the 10:30 a.m. service at the church at 36 South Street. All are welcome to attend.
“Dr. Ragsdale is skilled at helping people of faith reconcile issues of reproductive choice and spirituality from a pro-choice perspective,” said Redeemer’s rector, the Rev. Cynthia Black. “She ably articulates a faith position that takes into account the fact that women and their families need access to safe abortions.”
