Morristown’s Got Talent! will celebrate its fifth anniversary on Feb. 29 with a local emcee, John Mruz.
John has four kids in the Morris School District. He has honed his act at the Gotham Comedy Club in New York; here’s a clip:
“The whole show is about Morristown talent, and to have one of our own as the host is really exciting,” said Debbie Sontupe, chairperson of the Morris Educational Foundation.”We think he will have great Morris School District humor.”
John, who works in the telecom industry, joins a list of MGT hosts that started in 2008 with John Pizzi. Next came Paul Lyons and Ben Bailey of Cash Cab fame. Last year’s show was emceed by Bill Bromberg and Johnny D.
The Foundation raised nearly $40,000 from last year’s show for programs in the district.
