Music Without Borders kicked off its second season on Wednesday with a lively lunchtime concert of Colombian-flavored swing and jazz by Chia’s Dance Party.

Based in New York, the band consists of Martin Vejarano on drums, Ben Stapp on tuba, Justin Wood on alto sax and Arnold Lee on soprano sax.

Music Without Borders is presented by the Arts Council of the Morris Area and the Mayo Performing Arts Center.

Next up is Chalgiya, on July 6 at noon. That’s followed by Music from China on July 20 and India: Sounds of the North, Bells of the South, on Aug. 3.

And don’t forget this Sunday, June 26, it’s the Giralda 2011 Arts & Music Festival, featuring the New Jersey Symphony, on the lawn of Giralda Farms in Madison at 4 pm.
