Take a “First Look” this Thursday, courtesy of the MCHACC

This Thursday, May 19, the Morris County Hispanic-American Chamber of Commerce presents its Annual Business Expo and Fashion Show from 6 – 10 pm at the Birchwood Manor in Whippany.  The theme this year is “First Look.”

Scheduled guests on the evening include State Senator Anthony Bucco; Miss Dominican Republic US Fatima Leonardo; Miss New York Latina Helen Troncoso; boxer Vinny O’Brien; New York Jets longsnapper Tanner Purdum; and Miss Union County (NJ) Michelle Goldberg.  Saxophonist David Sanchez and Deejay Rubio will provide musical entertainment.

Designers Christina V. Field of Morristown and Alessandria Redley of New York (both Parsons New School for Design grads) will announce the fashions at the runway.   Thomas Lavone, the New Jersey-based  fashion designer, will give the evening’s keynote address.

The fashion show supports “Dress for Success” (a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with a mission “to promote the economic development tools to help women thrive in work and in life”) by collecting and donating business clothing to the organization.

The Business Expo & Networking portion of the evening starts at 6 p.m.; the fashion show starts at 8 p.m.  Tickets are $45.00 for members and $55.00 for non-members.

Birchwood Manor is at 111 North Jefferson Road in Whippany.
