The fastest cameras are no match for his hummingbird fingers as the fly along the keyboard.
We’re talking about Rio Clemente, the Bishop of Jazz, Morristown’s favorite son, and all-around good guy.
He performed this lively version of Go Tell It On the Mountain at the Morristown United Methodist Church last week. You can catch him again in all his entertaining glory on New Year’s Eve, at First Night Morris County.
In addition to more than 40 great acts, First Night is staging a photo contest. It’s open to Morris County residents from middle-school age and up. The theme is “Last Year in Pictures,” and winning contestants will win free admission to First Night. Drop off your original 8-by-10-inch photos on Friday, Dec. 17, or Monday Dec. 20 from 2 pm to 4 pm at the Hyatt Morristown.
First Night admission is $20, or $70 for a four-pack, if purchased in advance at Morristown’s Community Theatre or online. On New Year’s Eve, admission buttons are $25.
Meanwhile, the United Methodist Church has another holiday treat for you: The Christmas Singers, in a free concert at 12:15 pm on Thursday, Dec. 16.
Very carefully?
